Edward Allen Holmes, 53, of Suffolk, passed away Oct. 16, 2013. He was born in Portsmouth to Rose Atkinson Holmes and the late Phillip Edward Holmes I.

In addition to his mother, Edward is survived by his son, Phillip Edward Holmes II; grandson, Julian Limblad; fiancee, Teresa Beasley, her daughter, Brittney Willis, and her two daughters; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Community Church, Western Branch Campus, 1935 Jolliff Road, Chesapeake, VA 23321, with the Rev. Marsha Duncan officiating. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
