Lillie Mae McCrea, 91, of 204 Pitchkettle Road, retired from life Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, in Sentara Obici Hospital to live eternally with angels in Heaven. She was the daughter of the late William G. Scott and Louise Scott. She was a native of Kingstree, S.C. She was the wife of the late Richard M. McCrea. She was preceded in death by son Thurmond McCrea.

Lillie Mae leaves to cherish her life four sons, Richard M. McCrea Jr. (Dana), Mark McCrea, Michael McCrea and Jimmy McCrea; one brother, William G. Scott; eight grandchildren, Avis Mendez, Richard M. McCrea III, LaToyna Walton, Ryen McCrea, Kari Lynn McCrea, Melissa McCrea Frazier, Jamie McCrea and Dione McCrea; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church, 635 Brook Ave., Suffolk, officiated by the Rev. Kenneth Woodley. Condolences can be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.

Family will receive friends and guests at 2011 Indian Point Road, Suffolk. Mrs. McCrea will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
