Larry Darnell Major Sr., 57, of 114 Nancy Drive, Suffolk, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at his residence. He was a native of Suffolk and the son of the late John Major and Doris Major.

He was formerly employed at Sara Lee as a forklift driver. He was a member of Word for Living Fellowship Center.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Tammie L. Major; three sons, Daryl Mizell (Stacey), Larry D. Major Jr. (Crystal) and Antonio J. Major (Ashley); other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at New Paul’s Temple, 790 Hosier Road, Suffolk, officiated by Dr. Maurice Scott. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
