An anonymous Suffolk resident — who, let’s just say, is quite the romantic — chose the Suffolk News-Herald to tell his or her spouse just how much he or she is loved.

Chapter 1 of “A Storybook Romance” appears in today’s edition. A new chapter will publish each issue through Dec. 1. Each chapter will reveal a new clue to the author’s identity. The spouse, at least for now, has no idea he or she is the recipient of this very public display of affection.
