A family was displaced from its home in the 300 block of Suburban Drive after a fire Sunday evening.

The blaze was reported at 8:28 p.m., and Suffolk Fire and Rescue personnel arrived six minutes later. The cause of the fire was determined to be an electrical issue, according to a news release from city spokesman Tim Kelley.

One adult and two children were home at the time of the fire, but they were not injured.

The family will be assisted by the American Red Cross as power is returned to the home, Kelley said.
