Friday’s scheduled sporting events for Suffolk’s public schools and Nansemond-Suffolk Academy will not be taking place as the schools remain out of session due to lingering ice on the roads.
However, Suffolk Christian Academy’s boys’ and girls’ teams are expected to play their road games as scheduled, contingent upon the decisions made by the hosts, according to SCA athletic director Steven Milner. The boys are scheduled to play at Portsmouth Christian School at 7 p.m., while the girls travel to Greenbrier Christian Academy for a game at the same time.
NSA athletic director Betty Jean Riddick said the school is seeking to reschedule its home swim meet for Monday or Tuesday.
