Sharon Baker Horton

Sharon “Sherry” Baker Horton, 57, died Feb. 1, 2014, at her home with her loving family at her side. She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Maggie Marie Baker.

Sherry was a loving mother and grandmother who shared her unconditional love with many selfless acts to her family. She loved making and teaching ceramics with others. She also loved her faithful dogs Toby and Fancy.

Sherry is survived by her husband Jerry Horton of Corapeake, N.C.; daughter Shannon Lambaiso and husband Brandon of Norfolk; son Brandon Horton and wife Heather of Suffolk; grandchildren Nathan and Autumn Horton; sister Brenda Copeland and husband Enoch Harris of Gates County, N.C.; and sister-in-law, Cindy Baker of Suffolk.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, in the chapel at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, 4569 Shoulders Hill Road. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, in the R. W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington Street.
