The doors of her new store in the Farm Fresh shopping center on Bridge Road have only been open about two weeks, but Michelle Annarino of Michelle’s Shop, Consign, Enjoy says the signs are good.

The retail and consignment store has moved to North Suffolk from Portsmouth, Annarino said, but the name has changed from The Baby Boutique, and a few other things changed as well.

“We have expanded our inventory into women’s apparel,” Annarino said.

“Our target market is the working woman who may or may not have children. We have business attire, cruise wear, what you would wear to church and name brand.”

Annarino’s motto for her store, particularly the consignment portion of it, is “clean, crisp and current — the three c’s.”

“When ladies have things in their closet they are not using, and they are all the three c’s, they can bring them to us,” she said. “We hand-select each item.”

The old store had been at Chesapeake Square since 1993, Annarino said, and the new store has triple the floor space, with 2,100 square feet.

“It felt right,” she said of the move to Suffolk. “It was time to grow. The welcome here has been fantastic; it has been so warm, and we have been encouraged by the other business owners and the residents. We feel blessed.”

Including Annarino, the store has five staff. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
