Hit and run reported

Suffolk police are investigating a hit and run that happened in the 1100 block of Kirk Road early Tuesday.
The victim reported she was driving southbound when a vehicle approached from behind and then sideswiped the victim’s vehicle, causing it to leave the road and strike a tree.
The driver and three passengers reported injuries, city spokesman Tim Kelley said.
Another driver who was traveling northbound witnessed the incident, Kelley said.
The suspect vehicle is a white van with fresh damage to the passenger side. The investigation is ongoing.
