The Suffolk Early Childhood Development Commission is offering scholarships for students enrolled in or majoring in early childhood development at either Paul D. Camp Community College or Tidewater Community College.

The student can be full- or part-time but must reside in the city of Suffolk. An applicant must be currently employed in the field, as demonstrated by an employer letter of reference from a regulated childcare facility. If the applicant is self-employed as a home care provider, the home must be licensed and letters from parents who are customers must be provided.

A total of three letters of reference are needed with the application. Additionally, the student must have completed at least one year of coursework at the time of award.
