Pfc. Peter G. Wagner Jr. graduated with honors from U.S. Marine Corps basic training at Parris Island, S.C., on July 25.

Wagner will go on to Camp Lejeune, N.C., to continue with his training, then he will go to Fort Belvoir for continued schooling.

He is a 2008 graduate of Nansemond River High School. He is an Eagle Scout from Troop 16 at Beech Grove Methodist Church.
