The Nansemond River High School boys’ volleyball team went five sets against host Heritage High School on Thursday night but came away the winner – 25-14, 25-22, 22-25, 17-25, 15-12.

Malcolm Nurse led the Warriors with 15 kills, while Zak McCarson added nine. Davontrez Wallaced had 23 assists.

Nansemond River (2-10, 2-2) visits Phoebus High School on Tuesday evening.
