The Nansemond River High School field hockey team improved to 2-0 on the week with a 6-0 win over visiting Phoebus High School.

Junior Ashley Hiltabrand and sophomore Ariana Samuel each scored twice, while senior Desiree Patterson and junior Jaclyn Mounie had one goal apiece.

Nansemond River (10-4, 4-0) hits the road to play Maury High School on Monday.
