The owner of a farmhouse was uninjured when a tractor-trailer drove through the house on Pruden Boulevard Monday evening.

The accident happened at 6:53 p.m. in the 5300 block of Pruden Boulevard.

The preliminary investigation reveals at the tractor-trailer was traveling eastbound when it left the roadway and drove through the enclosed porch connected to the two-story house, according to a city press release.

The owner of the farmhouse, an 83-year-old man, was home at the time of the accident but was not injured, according to the press release. The 47-year-old male driver of the tractor-trailer was evaluated by Suffolk Fire and Rescue but did not require medical treatment.

The homeowner is staying with family members overnight, and a building official will determine the structural stability of the home on Tuesday, according to the release.
