Police are investigating an accident in the 8900 block of Eclipse Drive that damaged a fire hydrant.

It happened at 7:27 p.m., according to a city press release. A Dodge Caravan left the roadway and struck the hydrant, causing water to spew from the device, but no injuries were reported.

Crews from Public Utilities and Public Works are responding to the scene, as the accident affects the main water line. Residents may experience an issue with water pressure or disruption of service while emergency repairs are made. The cause is under investigation.
