The Nansemond River High School boys’ soccer team, which won the conference tournament, drew 11 All-Ironclad Conference honors. Five Warriors made the first team.

The first-team quintet included junior forward Brayan Morales, junior midfielders Axel Lopez and Ty Williams, freshman defender Maycol Reyes and senior defender Austin Heyman.

“I think all five were deserving of those honors,” Nansemond River coach Dustin Tordoff said.

“A couple of kids from second team were really close, probably deserving of first team. But already having five of the (16) slots, you get to a point where it is what it is.”

Tordoff added, “We had a good team, and I was happy that we got as much recognition as we did.”

King’s Fork High School players making the first team included sophomore forward Sterling McGee, sophomore midfielder David Miller, junior defender Kenwood Harris and senior goalkeeper Jeremy Woods.

Warriors named to the all-conference second team included junior forward Daniel Tallarico, junior midfielder Yousef Al-Sarraf, sophomore midfielder Joan Cueto, junior defender Brandon Dowden and junior goalkeeper Zack Busch.

Bulldogs named to the second team included junior forward Drequan Wilson, sophomore forward Garrett Fuller, sophomore midfielder Aurelio De La Villa and senior defender Hugh Long.

Lakeland High School sophomore forward Adam Worley was also named to the second team. King’s Fork sophomore Nadim Barakat, Nansemond River junior Daniel Brickhouse and Cavaliers senior Kenyon Strickland received honorable mentions.
