Marianne Kai Jackson, 63, affectionately known as “Kai,” went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 6, 2015.
She was employed at Norfolk Naval Shipyard at her time of death.
Marianne leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved daughter, Shravia Jackson, of Raleigh, N.C.; mother, Verna Dare Alston, of Suffolk; brother, Morris Alston (Barbarann), of Sturgeon Bay, Wis.; a devoted friend, Jack Foster, of Franklin, and many other relatives and friends.
Ms. Jackson will be on view from noon to 6 p.m., and a wake service will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2015, at T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home Inc., 405 Johnson Ave., Suffolk, VA 23434. A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 13, 2015, in the T.E. Cooke-Overton Garden II of Carver Memorial Cemetery, 2320 E. Washington St.
