Earlene “Peanut” Jordan-Parson, 76, of Woodruff Street, died Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Denice Carter-Pruitt, of Suffolk; two sons, Dennis L. Carter (Marion) and Bryon D. Parson, both of Suffolk; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Clementine Scott, of Bridgeport, Conn.; brother, Earl Lee Jordan, of Suffolk; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

A visitation with family will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2015, in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at Balm of Gilead Baptist Church, 3731 White Marsh Road, Suffolk. Bishop A.S. Hall will deliver the eulogy. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The Jordan-Parson family will receive guests at 115 S. Sixth St., Suffolk.
