Larry Steve Banton, 57, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 17, 2015. He was the son of Ethel Watts Banton and the late Thurman Wiley Banton.

Larry was a member of Suffolk Christian Church and worked for MF&B as a project manager. He was a Redskins fan and enjoyed NASCAR and fishing.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife of 28 years, Marissa; children, Steven Banton (Amber), Jamie Banton (Megan), Kasey Banton and Alex Banton; sister, Wanda Hyatt (Tommy); brothers, Wayne Banton (Donna), Ronald Banton (Debby), Donald Banton and Jerry Banton; grandchildren Josh, Madison, Kelsey and A.J.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, Aug. 21, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Suffolk Christian Church, 216 N. Main St., Suffolk, by the Rev. Michael D. Halley, with burial following at Liberty Spring Christian Church. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker & Co.
