Mr. Algernon LaCurtis “Boo” Langston, 40, entered eternal rest and received his heavenly wings Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, at Sentara
Obici Hospital. He was a native of Suffolk, born on April 25, 1975, to Thelma Langston-Edwards and Reginald Scott. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roland and Thelma Langston, and paternal grandparents, Alfred and Frances Scott. Algernon attended Nansemond River High School, worked many years at Smithfield Packing Company, City of Suffolk and was a well-known lawn keeper.
He leaves to cherish his memory his dedicated mother, Thelma Langston-Edwards (Bennie), father, Reginald Scott; three sons, Rasheed J. Deloatch, Shaiquan Evans and Algernon D. Langston; granddaughter, Ra’Monii Deloatch; brother, Alajuwun L. Langston; sister, Kenya Scott; special friend, Vanessa Cooke; and many, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015, at Palm Tree Baptist Church. He will be laid to rest in Langston Family Cemetery.
