Clennis Morris Jr.

Clennis Morris Jr. passed away peacefully on Oct. 20, 2015, in his home after a long battle with diabetes. He was 68 years old, born in Martin County, N.C., to the late Clennis Morris Sr. and Mary Stanton Morris and was preceded in death by his sister, Katie Morris. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 37 years, Dale Morris, his three daughters and his son. Clennis also leaves five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers and an abundance of family members including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 1 to 6:30 p.m., followed by the wake from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Crocker Funeral Home, located at 900 E. Washington St., Suffolk, and the homegoing will be on Thursday, Oct. 29, and will take place at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery on 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk. Bishop A.S. Hall Sr. will be presiding. Following the memorial, the celebration of life repast will take place at Balm of Gilead Missionary Baptist Church at 3731 White Marsh Road, Suffolk.
