Police are looking for the man who robbed the Virginia Commonwealth Bank on Monday.

Suffolk police are investigating an armed bank robbery that took place Monday afternoon.

The robbery took place at the Virginia Commonwealth Bank in the 1700 block of North Main Street, according to a city press release.

The robbery was reported at 2:53 p.m. Bank officials said a lone white male wearing a mask and displaying a firearm entered the bank and demanded money. He fled on foot after receiving an undisclosed amount of currency, according to the press release.

There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as 6 feet tall, 170 to 180 pounds and 45 to 55 years old with graying hair. He was carrying a black bag and wearing a light blue sweatshirt with a logo including the letter “N” in the center with a dark blue stripe down the sleeves, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a mask covering his face and a portion of his head.
