Chief Petty Officer Scott Greggory King, 36, of the United States Coast Guard died tragically on Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, at his home in North Charleston, S.C. Scott was born on Oct. 2, 1979, in North Charleston.

He is survived by his wife of seven years, Shannon Coker King, of Charleston, S.C.; a daughter, Emileigh Elizabeth King, of Tampa, Fla.; his mother, Judy King Keith, and her husband, Roy, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; his father, Gary R. King and his wife, Joyce, of Mills River, N.C.; and sister, Chris Dukes Arnold and her husband, Randy, of Branchville, S.C.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015, at Calvary Baptist Church, 2501 Haywood Road, Hendersonville, N.C. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Pastor Ken Mason will officiate. The interment will be private.
