Police investigate robbery of pharmacy

Suffolk police are investigating a robbery that occurred about 10:35 p.m. Sunday at the Rite Aid located in the 500 block of North Main Street, according to a city press release.
The offender, described as an older white male in his 50s to 60s, approximately 5 feet, 11 inches to 6 feet, 2 inches tall, wearing a camouflage coat with a tree pattern, a black and white Virginia tech hat, black sweat pants with a white stripe down the leg, and black and gray tennis shoes, entered the store and implied he had a weapon and then demanded prescription medication from the pharmacy technician, according to the release. He then fled the store on foot. There were no injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
