John David Heins died on Feb. 7, 2016, in Boone, N.C. A celebration of John’s life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church, 917 Carolina Road, Suffolk. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Watauga Humane Society, P.O. Box 1835, Boone, NC 28607.
