Norris Wendell Langston, 59, of Portsmouth, transitioned Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of McCoy Langston and Corean Richardson Langston.

He attended John F. Kennedy High School. Norris was employed with Royal Chevrolet. He was a member of Hungary Road Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Tarmeka West, of Hampton, and Jenee Langston, of Richmond; three stepdaughters; four sisters, Shirley Hicks (Whitman), of Portsmouth, Doris Cheeks, of Suffolk, Annette Langston-Sumler (Larry), of Virginia Beach, and Terry Langston, of Chesapeake; one brother, Johnnie Langston (Jackie), of Suffolk; one grandchild, Kalaya Langston; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Oak Grove Baptist Church officiated by Minister Sylvia Murphy. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
