Four named to W&M dean’s list

Four Suffolk students were recently named to the dean’s list at the College of William & Mary for the spring 2016 semester:

Among the school’s honored students were Abdelrahman Hussein Aboulatta, Sara Ann Barlow, Logan Reece Flurry and Christine Senora Fulgham.

In order to achieve dean’s list status, a full-time degree-seeking undergraduate student must take at least 12 credit hours and earn a 3.6 quality point average during the semester.

Suffolk students make Longwood lists

Longwood University has selected 963 students to the President’s and Dean’s List for superior academic achievement during the spring 2016 semester.

Among those who were named to the president’s list for earning a perfect academic average of 4.0 were Kiara Aslinn Anthony, Manuel Arnold Dwyer and Kristin Nicole Goodwin, all from Suffolk.

Among those named to the Longwood dean’s list for earning an outstanding academic average of 3.5 – 3.99 were Rachel Elaine Baines, Amellia Teresa Boyer, William Kenneth Fancher, Sarah Lynn Fleming, Abigail Elise Gwise, Christyna Elizabeth Mencarini and Hannah Elizabeth Miller, all of Suffolk.

 

Seven named to VMI dean’s list

Seven area residents were among cadets named to the dean’s list for the second semester of academic year 2015-2016 at Virginia Military Institute. To be eligible for the dean’s list, a cadet must have a term grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and no grade below C.

Jeremy J. Cobb, a junior from Suffolk, is majoring in civil engineering. Cadet Cobb’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Stephen C. Cobb.

Philip T. Harpen, a junior from Suffolk, is majoring in economics and business. Cadet Harpen’s parents are Dr. and Mrs. Martin P. Harpen.

Ryan G. Lineberry, a senior from Suffolk, is majoring in history. Cadet Lineberry’s parents are Capt. and Mrs. Robert G. Lineberry Jr.

Mia M. McClain, a junior from Suffolk, is majoring in civil engineering. Cadet McClain’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. James M. McClain.

Christian S. Williams, a junior from Suffolk, is majoring in international studies. Cadet Williams’ parents are Mr. and Mrs. Mark R. Williams.

Steven T. Borkowski, a senior from Smithfield, is majoring in civil engineering. Cadet Borkowski’s parents are Robyn Borkowski and Stephen C. Borkowski.

Eric J. Cedotal Jr., junior from Suffolk, is majoring in applied mathematics and physics, with nuclear concentration. Cadet Cedotal’s parents are Eric J. Cedotal Sr. and Angela K. Roberts.

 

Salkeld graduates from Buffalo State

Ryan Salkeld of Suffolk graduated from Buffalo State with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in business administration.

Buffalo State is a State University of New York college located in Buffalo, N.Y.

 

Bates graduates from W&M

Jillian Alfre Bates graduated from William and Mary in May, with a double major in English and Africana Studies.

She also has been named to the dean’s list at the College of William and Mary for the spring 2016 semester.

The dean’s list is reserved for full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students who have completed at least 12 credit hours for a letter grade and earned a 3.6 grade point average in one semester.

Bates earned a 4.0 grade point average for the spring term.
