To the editor:

For too long, politicians in Washington, D.C., have been running rampant, worrying about themselves and not their constituents, the people who put them there.

In the near future, you have a chance to fix that.

Marty Williams is running for election in the 3rd Congressional District. Marty is a lifelong resident of the Hampton Roads area, having grown up in Chesapeake where he still resides today with his wife, Kathy.

Marty is retired from the Chesapeake Police Department after 25 years of service and is the current chairman of the Chesapeake Planning Commission. Clearly, Marty cares about the community, and that is why his sights are now set on Washington.

In Congress, Marty will work to attract well-paying jobs to the area. Taxes will be cut on small businesses and families. Marty will work tirelessly to ensure our neighborhoods are safe from violent criminals.

He will ensure our military has the funding it needs to defeat radical Islamic terror such as ISIS and stand up for our veterans, who should be treated like heroes!

Marty has a plan to get Washington working again. Please join me in supporting Marty Williams for Congress in the 3rd District.
