No injuries were reported in a garage fire on Exeter Drive Friday evening.

The fire in the 5100 block was reported at 9:07 p.m. after a passerby notified the homeowners. The large, detached two-story garage was engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived 10 minutes later.

Firefighters monitored the exposure of the wood-sided main structure, about 100 feet away, to ensure the blaze did not spread to the residence due to the heavy winds.

The garage was declared a total loss.

The Fire Marshal’s Office will investigate the cause of the fire.
