The Lady Warriors field hockey team won a tight game in overtime against Western Branch High School Monday evening.

After what the Warriors described as a sluggish start, they fought their way back to win the game.

“We just need to focus on one game at a time and not overlook any teams,” senior Ashlyn Rogers said. “This game was an eye opener for us.”

Senior Ariana Samuel scored the final goal to give the Warriors the win.

“We’ve just got to make sure we stay consistent through out the games,” Samuel said. “We got it together after the second half.”

The Lady Warriors play at Great Bridge High School at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday.
