Ida “Michelle” Daughtrey Faulk, of the 1000 block of Custis Road, Suffolk, was called home to live with her Heavenly Father on Monday, Sept. 19, 2016. Michelle was born on March 25, 1958, in Suffolk, to the late James Otis Daughtrey and Helen Virginia Figgs Daughtrey. She graduated with the 1976 class of John F. Kennedy High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree with honors in 1980 in early childhood education from Norfolk State University.

She was predeceased in death by her husband, Steven Lazon Faulk Sr., and her sister, Brenda Carnice Daughtrey. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Steven L. Faulk Jr. and Kahlil Javaar Daughtrey-Holden; three sisters, Virginia “Gin” Ashburn, of Suffolk, Rhonda Daughtrey Lambert (Romeo Jr.) of Chesapeake, Sharon Daughtrey, of Suffolk; one grandchild, Veronica Faulk Wilder; other relatives and friends.

The body will be placed in the church at noon, and the funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, 2016, at Metropolitan Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Robert Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow at Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
