To the editor:

One of the reasons that crime is so bad is that the judges are not doing the job they are paid to do.

Police put their lives on the line every day to catch criminals. They catch the criminals, the criminals get locked up and go to court, and then they get a slap on the wrist.

The judge — or, I should say, the system — only wants the money. Instead of sending these offenders away, the judges send them back to continue their crime sprees.

If judges would do their jobs and keep the offenders in jail, they could not continue to kill, rape, molest and rob innocent people. These criminals are repeat offenders.

Someone needs to be held accountable, and we need to start with the judges that keep putting these criminals back on the streets.
