Lakeland High School’s girls’ basketball team was defeated by Great Bridge High School on Tuesday, while the boys picked up their first win of the season.

The Lady Cavs were at home and were defeated by Great Bridge 62-25. The loss puts the Lady Cavs at 0-3 on the season.

The boys’ basketball team picked up its first win of the season and went to 1-3 on the year. Lakeland’s boys’ basketball team defeated Great Bridge High School 67-64 in overtime. Devon Morris led the way with 20 points.

The Lady Cavs will play Friday at 7:15 p.m. at Deep Creek High School. The boys will not be in action on Friday. On Saturday, the boys’ basketball team will travel to Phoebus High School to face Booker T. Washington High School.
