Nansemond River High School’s swim team was defeated by Grassfield High School Tuesday evening at the Southside Aquatics center in Norfolk. Despite the loss, both the boys’ and girls’ swim teams are on track to win the most meets in school history.

Grassfield’s girls’ swim team is undefeated, and the boys’ team has only one loss on the year.

All three of the Warriors boys’ relay teams finished in second place by less than a second. Brandon Eubanks finished first in both of his individual events — the 500-meter freestyle and the 100-meter backstroke. Andrew Betts finished first in the 100-meter butterfly and 200 individual medley. For the girls’ side, Shelby Heyman won first in the 100-meter freestyle and the 100-meter backstroke for Nansemond River.
