Warriors track successful at championships

Nansemond River High School competed in the VHSL Conference 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships on Wednesday at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton.

Boys: Jacari Sain placed third in the 1,000-meter run. The Warriors 4×400 relay team placed second, and the 4×800 team placed second as well. Christian Johnson placed third in triple-jump.

Girls: Jazmine Tilmon placed first in the 55-meter dash. Kori Carter placed second in the 55-meter dash. Asia Crocker placed first in the 300-meter dash, first in the high-jump and second in the long and triple jumps. Kiara Howard placed third in the 300-meter dash. Syaira Richardson placed first in the 500-meter dash and long jump. Casey Williams placed second in the 1,600-meter run. Olivia Ladehoff placed third in the 1,600-meter run. Jasmine Watson placed first in the 55-meter hurdles, where Skylar Parks placed second and Crocker placed third. The 4×200 relay team placed first, as did the 4×400 team. The 4×800 relay team placed third.
