Two teens have been arrested and charged following a stabbing that occurred late Sunday evening, according to a city press release.

Justin Stephen Fransee, 18, is charged with malicious wounding. Cody Bryan Lawrence, 18, is charged with assault and battery. Both are from Suffolk and are acquaintances of the victim, Damian Rain Berggren, also 18.

According to the press release, the incident was reported at 11:41 p.m. Police responded to reports of a disturbance outside of a residence in the 100 block of Coral Court, in the Woodland neighborhood off Nansemond Parkway.

Officers found the victim outside the residence suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was airlifted by Nightingale to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, according to the press release. A hospital spokesman was unable to release any information on his condition Monday evening.

Both of the suspects were located at the residence, according to the press release.
