Wanted: Your recipes

The Suffolk Public Library is calling all cooks and bakers in Suffolk to contribute to a community-driven cookbook and join them for a cookbook launch party.
Throughout the month of February, anyone can send in a favorite recipe to include in the Suffolk Cooks! Cookbook, which will be available to the public in March at all Suffolk Public Library locations and on Library2Go.
The library hopes to see the diversity and culture of Suffolk reflected in the final cookbook, with a variety of different tastes and flavors featured in the recipes collected. Those interested in contributing can drop off a copy of their recipe at any Suffolk Public Library location or Library2Go, or email it in a Word document to etrop@suffolkva.us. Photos of the dish are encouraged.
A Suffolk Cooks! Cookbook Launch Party will take place Saturday, March 25 from 11 a.m. to noon at the North Suffolk Library. The public is welcome to attend and obtain a free copy of the Suffolk Cooks! Cookbook. Light refreshments will be served.
The Suffolk Cooks! Cookbook isn’t the first cookbook created by the Suffolk Public Library. In 2014, the library put together a cookbook based upon staff recipe submissions and made it available to staff and the public. It was well received and was part of the inspiration behind the Suffolk Cooks! community-driven cookbook.
