To the editor:
I am writing this letter in support of the candidacy of Rex Alphin to represent District 64 in the Virginia House of Delegates.
I have known Rex since 1979. He is a fine man of great integrity. He is a lover of the rural life and culture. Rex and Debra have three children. His family and strong constituent base are very supportive of him.
Who better to represent the people of this district?
Rex has been an elected member of the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors for six years and served as its chairman. He has also served on the county’s planning commission.
Our candidate is a third-generation farmer who wants to unleash freedom and free enterprise to create more jobs for the citizens of this district. Rex wants to grow our economy and help small businesses prosper.
He also wants to protect our families, communities and, once again, our rural culture.
Rex supports educational opportunities and parental choice, as well as having a stronger K-12 and higher education. He also wants to work hard to balance the commonwealth’s budget by cutting wasteful spending.
Rex also wants to keep Virginia’s taxes among the lowest in the nation. Finally, Rex supports the Second Amendment, the right to bear arms.
If elected, Rex wants to keep the people of the 64th District informed of all actions taken as your delegate. This is something that is very important to him.
This is why I will cast my vote for Rex Alphin in the Republican primary on June 13.
