Following are this week’s nominees for the Duke Automotive-Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

Jordan Fransee, sophomore, King’s Fork High School boys’ soccer: Played a strong game for King’s Fork in the 4A state semifinals game at goalie.

Kori Carter, junior, Nansemond River High School track and field: Carter finished first in the 100- and 300-meter hurdles. She was also a leg on the 4×100 team.
