After starting 0-5, the Nansemond River High School girls’ volleyball team got its first win of the season against Indian River High School at home Tuesday night.

The Lady Warriors are the first Suffolk school in the Southeastern District to win a game. Nansemond River won 3-1, and each set was hard-fought.

The Lady Warriors will try to build on this win when they face rival Lakeland High School at home at 6 p.m. Thursday.
