Larry Gene Bolton passed away on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017. He is predeceased by his parents, James and Beatrice Bolton, three brothers and one sister.

Larry was a deacon at Wilroy Baptist Church as well as a Sunday school teacher. He was a 32nd degree Mason as well.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rachel Bolton; sister, Nancy Bolton Austin, of Lasker, N.C.; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; sister-in-law, Lori Barnes, of Conway, N.C., Thelma Barnes, of Courtland, Ina and William Turner, of Suffolk; special recognition to cousins Mike and June Beale of Suffolk, Willard Moger and Judy, of Suffolk, Jack and Lynn Greene, of Suffolk. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses of Personal Touch Hospice.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, VA 23434, officiated by the Rev. Tim Rawls and Chaplain Tim Minor. The family will receive friends at the residence prior to the service. Following the service, the family will receive friends at Wilroy Baptist Church, 306 Williams Road, Suffolk, VA 23434. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wilroy Baptist Church.
