Lynda Sue Powell Norton, 73, passed away on Sept. 21, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard L. Norton, and sister, JoAnn Wenzke.

Lynda was a member of Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother that loved the Lord. She had a way of making those she met feel very special, from the pharmacy workers at Walmart, to the veterinary office employees, to the lawn man.

Survivors include her sons, Robert Norton (Susan), of Springfield, and Jeff Norton (Robin), of Suffolk; grandchildren, Alexis Clark (Daryl), Jacob Norton (Kelsey), Zachary Norton and Madison Norton; sister, Betty Thomas; and a great love of her life, her beloved Yorkie, Ginger.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church, 3488 Godwin Blvd., Suffolk, VA 23434, by Dr. Ruffin Alphin. Burial will be in National Memorial Park, Alexandria. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W.
