Hope Tara Parham, 46, of Cedar Street, Suffolk, transitioned Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, in Suffolk. She was a native of Suffolk and the daughter of Shirley Taylor and the late James Parham.

She was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. Hope was a member of St. Paul Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Ciara Parham, of Portsmouth; a son, Alton Parham (Krystle), of Suffolk; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Marilyn Skeeter (Elder Howard Lee), of Suffolk, Gloria Hunt (John), of Suffolk, Cynthia Riddick (Marvin), of Smithfield, and Shireen Barnes (Thomas), of Portsmouth; three brothers, Kenneth Parham (Donna), of Suffolk, Michael Parham (Shelby), of Newport News, and James Parham (Vickie), of Norfolk; a devoted friend/fiancé, Deaver Varner; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral will be held at noon, Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at St. Paul Church officiated by Elder Harvey Lewis. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
