Are you looking for a winter youth sports league where your child can learn new skills, enhance fundamentals and have loads of fun? The Suffolk Parks & Recreation Department is beginning registration for the 2018 youth cheerleading pep squads, youth basketball teams and an indoor soccer league.

Online registration for youth cheerleading, youth basketball and indoor soccer will run through Oct. 26. Onsite payments must be in the form of a money order or cashier check only. Pay by credit card online at www.suffolkva.us/parks by using the online registration link.

Participants can register at any of the following recreation centers through Oct. 26, Mondays to Thursdays, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.: Creekside, Northern Shores, Mack Benn Jr., King’s Fork and East Suffolk. Saturday registrations will be held Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Creekside and Mack Benn Jr. recreation centers only.

Registration for children ages 4 to 5 for Lil Dribblers, Lil Pom Poms and Tiny Kickz is $40 for Suffolk residents and $50 for non-residents. Registration for children ages 6 to 15 for youth basketball, youth cheerleading and indoor soccer is $60 for Suffolk residents, $70 for non-residents. An additional $15 will be added for late registrations from Oct. 23-28. All registrants must have proof of age and residency.

Volunteer coaches are also needed for all sports.
