To the editor:

Imagine that you run an organization that has hundreds of employees. Now imagine that one of those employees is particularly good at her job, demonstrating both excellent skill and character. You would have to be crazy to fire an employee like that!

The current Suffolk Commissioner of the Revenue, Susan Draper, is that employee. And you, voting Suffolk residents, run the city. Susan Draper has effectively fulfilled her role with integrity and expertise and has demonstrated that she is right for this job.

I have the honor of serving on the board of a local, nonprofit organization with Susan Draper and have been impressed with her insight, professionalism and teamwork.

Susan’s dependability, many years of professional experience, passion for excellence and acute attention to detail are a great asset to our city.

I encourage you to vote for Susan Draper as Commissioner of the Revenue on Nov. 7.
Suffolk voters, do not let this valuable employee go!
