James M. Crockett Jr.

U.S. Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class James M. Crockett Jr. graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Crockett earned distinction as an honor graduate.

He is the son of James Crockett, of Newark, N.J., and Velma Johnson, of Chesapeake; stepson of Linda Beasley, of Suffolk; nephew of Carolyn Crockett and Martha Sherman, of Newark, N.J., and David Crockett, of Orange, N.J.; and cousin of Ernestine Fields, of Littleton, N.C. He is also the husband of Talia Certaine.

The airman graduated in 2003 from Western Branch High School and earned an associate degree in 2017 from Tidewater Community College.

Thelonious S. McLean-Burrell

U.S. Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Thelonious S. McLean-Burrell graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

He is the son of Regina L. and Thelonious F. McLean-Burrell, of Suffolk.

The airman is a 2013 graduate of Menchville High School, Newport News.
