Mrs. Bessie Smith Hunter, 5780 Whaleyville Blvd., died on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, in Nansemond Pointe Nursing Home. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the New Gospel Temple Church, Whaleyville. Burial will be in Langston Cemetery.
