Addy Greene was selected Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools Player of the Year, and Nansemond-Suffolk Academy placed three more on all-conference teams.
NSA enjoyed yet another successful season in the TCIS. They went undefeated in the conference, earning the No. 1 seed outright in the regular season and throughout the tournament. Of course, with NSA being the top dog in the conference, it didn’t go unnoticed in the postseason awards.
The Lady Saints placed two players on the first team with Addy Greene and Livian Matthews. They also had two on the second team with Rylee Bono and Madi Currin.
Greene not only made the first team but was named Player of the Year. NSA has had several conference players of the year the last couple of years, including last year’s honor of Livi Bono.
Greene admitted that she was shocked when she got the news that she had been selected as the Player of the Year. She gave credit to her coaches and her teammates for putting her in position to achieve the award. Coach Robyn Ross called Greene one of the most powerful hitters she has coached.
NSA finished 9-0 in the conference and has eyes set on a big playoff run.
