Isiah Artis

Isiah Artis transitioned Nov. 13, 2017, in his residence.

He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of the late Louise Parker and Ethel Little. He received his education at the East Suffolk High School. Upon finishing school, Isiah became employed with Smithfield Packing. He retired after 20 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s COGIC under the leadership of Dr. Dwight Nixon. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Mever Cotton; son, Porvanzo “Doral” Artis; niece, Crystal Mayes; granddaughter, Tamia Cotton; special friend, Marline Holliman; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at St. Mary’s COGIC. He will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
