Alene Boothe, 99, transitioned Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was the widow of Herbert Boothe and daughter of late Oscar and Della Williams.

She was a longtime member of Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church in Corapeake, N.C. and the eldest member of Zion Tabernacle.

She is survived by her son Thomas Boothe; daughters Princess Boothe and Margie Gripper; and her sister, Lucinda Norgrove.

A wake will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest in Benton Cemetery, Corapeake, N.C.
